Brief History

Upon the opening of Pamantasan ng Cabuyao in June 2003, the Engineering and Information Technology Departments were under the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT). The Information Technology Department offered the following courses: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Associate in Computer Technology and Associate in Computer Programming Technology.

In the second semester of academic year 2003 – 2004, the Information Technology Department was formally separated from its mother college and since then was known as the College of Computer Studies (CCS). Dr. Charlemagne G. Laviña the Dean of CEIT was re-designated as the Dean of the CCS.

With the full support of the City Government of Cabuyao and the University administration, the programs Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) offered by the college were granted the Government Recognition by the Commission in Higher Education under the leadership of former Dean Dr. Gloria D. Hernandez in April 11, 2011.
