BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING

I. Program Educational Objectives
Three to five years after graduation, the BS in Industrial Engineering alumni shall:

  1. be employed in the field of organization and decision systems;
  2. possess globally competitive skills;
  3. demonstrate personal dignity and integrity; and
  4. engage in community development or nation-building.

II. Student Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students will be able to:

  1. Apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve engineering problems;
  2. Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data;
  3. Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability, in accordance with standards;
  4. Function on multidisciplinary teams;
  5. Identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems;
  6. Understand professional and ethical responsibility;
  7. Communicate effectively;
  8. Possess broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context;
  9. Recognize the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning;
  10. Possess the knowledge of contemporary issues;
  11. Use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice;
  12. Know and understand the engineering and management principles as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments;
  13. Design, develop, implement, and improve integrated systems that include people, materials, information, equipment and energy; and
  14. Preserve and promote Filipino historical and cultural heritage.
