Dr. Albert D. Madrigal

He finished his AB Communication Arts degree major in Speech Communication in 1988 at the University of the Philippines Los Banos as a university scholar, his MA in Speech Communication in 1992 at UP Diliman, and his PhD in Extension Education at UP Los Banos in 2017 He taught full-time at the University of the Philippines - Los Banos for 10 years, part-time in several schools like University of the Philippines – Diliman, De La Salle University Taft, DLSU College of Saint Benilde, and then Philippine Normal College now Philippine Normal University.

He designed modules and taught at SpeechPower in the late 80s and was a culture and language consultant for the US Peace Corps in Bataan. He has authored and co-authored a number of papers and researches and has attended national and international seminars and conferences both as participant and resource speaker. He has given lectures and talks in countries like Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Israel, and Russia, on various topics such as Filipino Diaspora, Philippine Migration and Integration, Quality in Higher Education, School Administration and Governance, The Science and Practice of Extension Education, Organizational Communication, Youth Leadership and Development, among others.

He is an active member and award-winning speaker of Toastmasters Club of Rome, Italy. In 2004, he was conferred a title, “Adopted Son” by the state government of West Virginia, USA. He is an accreditor for the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation – the accrediting body for the locally-funded colleges and universities in the Philippines. He was a former consultant for youth affairs to the late Sen. Miriam Santiago and to then Senate President the late Senator Edgardo Angara.
