The Guidance & Counseling Office (GCO) is committed to promote the total development of individual students of Pamantasan ng Cabuyao through a relevant and adequate guidance program.

A carefully planned guidance services and program of activities are designed to develop self-awareness and self-acceptance among students and come up with realistic and attainable goals to help them become globally competitive and productive members of society towards nation building.

Our Services

Individual Inventory

Provide pertinent data/information about the student’s personal and family background, academic and career concerns.

Information

Relevant educational, social & occupational information are delivered to the students through the group guidance sessions, seminars, orientation, bulletin board display, and other informative materials.

Counseling

Assists students with educational, job or career and social adjustments. Help each individual student to have a better understanding.

Follow-up

Serves as the check and balance of GCO in order to assess how effective the GCO services are. To determine the success or failure of the counseling session conducted.

Assessment / Student Appraisal

Admission test, testing, and assessment of individual students are all part of the testing service. Personality, intelligence, aptitude, work values, and other areas are assessed to help the students realize their potentials and capabilities for self-improvement.

Placement Service

Provide faculty and academic heads essential information about the psychological test results that will help them gain an understanding of each individual student and make appropriate decisions about academic placement and sharing occupational information with students.

Referral

Faculty members are encouraged to refer students with perceived personal & behavioral problems and proper counseling & interventions will be given by the guidance counselor.

Research & Evaluation

Provide additional help and assistance to students to determine the effectiveness of the program/services delivered and to depict the strengths and weaknesses of the program.
